The Hero XPulse 200 4V is an adventure bike purposely designed for off-roading and is the upgraded version of the discontinued Hero XPulse 200 2V. The bike is the first from the brand with a 4-valve engine and is the cheapest adventure bike in India.

Hero XPulse 200 4V comes in two variants: the standard XPulse 200 4V, priced at Rs. 1,41,026, and the XPulse 200 4V Pro, priced at Rs. 1,53,151. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. In terms of colour options, where the XPulse 200 4V is available in Polestar Blue, Black-Sports Red, Metallic Nexus Blue and Met Nexus Blue White, the XPulse 200 4V Pro is available only in Pearl Fadeless White colour.
Hero XPulse 200 4V Engine
The Hero XPulse 200 4V gets a BS6.2-compliant 199.6cc, air-and-oil-cooled engine, generating an output of 19.17PS @ 8500rpm and 17.35Nm @ 6500rpm. The powertrain is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The engine features 4-valves that enhance air-fuel intake, and improve power and combustion efficiency.
Hero XPulse 200 4V Suspension & Brakes
The base variant Hero XPulse 200 4V gets a telescopic fork (with 190mm wheel travel) at the front and a 10-step pre-load adjustable monoshock (with 170mm wheel travel) at the back. The Pro variant gets a longer travel suspension with a fully adjustable cartridge-type fork with 250mm wheel travel and a 10-step preload adjustable monoshock with 220mm wheel travel at the rear. The braking setup for both variants consists of a 276mm petal disc at the front and a 220mm unit at the rear. The XPulse 200 4V gets a 21-inch front and 18-inch spoke wheels wrapped with a 90/90 block pattern tyre at the front and 120/80 rubber at the back.
Being an adventure bike, the XPulse 200 4V gets a good ground clearance with the base variant featuring 220mm, and the Pro version gets 270mm. Similarly, the Pro variant gets a taller seat height of 891mm; the base variant gets 825mm. A single-channel ABS comes as standard with three modes: Road, Off-road, and Rally. Both variants come with a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres.

The Hero XPulse 200 4V packs feature a Bluetooth-enabled fully digital instrument console that comes with a speedometer, tachometer, trip-meter readings, real-time mileage, gear position, and Eco mode prompts. The panel also offers turn-by-turn navigation, alerts on calls, and SMS.
Further, the feature list includes a projector LED headlamp, USB port for charging, knuckle guard and multi-mode ABS, among others. The Pro variant adds features such as a taller seat, handlebar riser, longer, adjustable suspension with greater ground clearance, longer side stand, and extended gear lever for improved off-roading.
